I felt in love with this chubby face at the first second I got to carry and look at him! ... Eunice T

Baby Eden's estimated due date was 3rd March, however for the whole of my pregnancy I had heard about some first born will be out earlier while some would be overdue. As I was still studying full-time diploma in polytechnic and my final semester examinations are in that first week of March, I was so afraid he might just pop when I'm in school or during the exam period. I think for the whole 9 months he had heard me nagging nonstop about the dates that he should see the world.

The fire drill baby was out with vacuum assistance at 2.40pm ... Feline Sun

I did my regular checkup on Monday, 23 Feb and it should be the last visit gynae before the EDD. My gynae asked when would I like the baby to come out since there wasn't labour sign. I replied that if he can wait till 28 Feb since it is the last day of Feb and significant. He said fine but I have gone for CTG at Thomson medical on EDD, 26 Feb. I agreed, however after discussion with hubby. We felt that going for CTG on 26 Feb, it is another cost so decided to go for inducing on 26 Feb night.

I was filled with joy though I was tired from all the waiting and birthing ...

After suffering a miscarriage in April 2014, my husband and I were devastated as it was our first child. So when we found out that I was pregnant again in Early Oct on my husband's birthday, we were both happy and excited. However, at the back of my mind, I was constantly worried and feared that I might experience another miscarriage. With the support and love shown by my husband and family, I managed to go through each trimester with some ease!

You're the best thing that happened to us ... Larissa

I can't deny but this is unplanned! Worst of all, I'm 21 only & I'm not married at that point of time. Definitely not a mum-to-be even though I have high mother instinct and I love kids. When I missed my period for 7 days, my sixth sense tells me something is not right & I went to purchase a ridiculous expensive pregnancy kit for better accuracy to try and BINGO double lines/positive. I'm pregnant and even I bought lottery also no such luck.

Feeling the excitement and nervous that baby is coming! ... Jessica Wong

EDD was supposed to be on 11 June. 2 weeks before EDD's checkup, the scan estimated weight was 3.6 kg! As my #1's birth weight was 3.7 kg, Doctor does not want me to have another big baby (might hit 4 kg) in case of complications like emergency C-section (which I don't want!) He recommended to induce 1 week earlier (at week 38+). The doctor ordered me to go on "diet"! Boo-hoo! And I was planning to have chili crabs and sambal stingrays Zhi-char dinner enjoyment! My plans all dashed!

Thus we decided to induce her at 39 weeks and 3 days ... Vivien Soon

My second pregnancy was tougher than my first, though definitely many people will still consider it smooth sailing. I didn’t feel pregnant at all when I had my first one. This one, I had mild morning sickness. I needed to have crackers with me everywhere I went as once I felt hungry, I felt nauseous too. I could no longer change the poo diapers for my #1 as I felt like puking when I smelt the poo. (Maybe it was just an excuse for my hubby to take over the job completely? hee… maybe not..) I vomited about once every 1-2 days in my first trimester but felt nauseousness a couple of weeks into the second. This was when we suspected (daddy secretly hoped too) that we were expecting a girl.

From that day onwards, every day is like a waiting game ... Sher Lynn

My second pregnancy was quite a smooth sailing with no signs of morning sickness and I could eat and sleep well at the beginning till Week 35 when the baby was in a low position and my gynae has advised me to bed rest as baby may come out anytime from now. From that day onwards, every day is like a waiting game and we are really looking forward to baby's arrival anytime. We were expecting the baby to come out around Week 37, based on experience from my first pregnancy. However, the baby is still happily staying in the same good position after each weekly scan.

I cannot describe the joy I had when I first saw her ... Gladys

The good news came in July 2014, I was about 3 weeks pregnant. We were both very excited and delighted, as this is our very first time going to be daddy and mummy.
We scheduled an appointment with Dr Lee (he is my sis and aunt's gynae). He is a very friendly and steady gynae. Being our first time, we tend to have a lot of questions to ask, Dr Lee is very patient and detailed in answering all of our questions. He always assures us everything is fine but if there is a problem he quickly acts on it and solve the problem. I did feel nausea in the first trimester and I dislike a lot of food like fish, fishcake, rice, vegetables. I love all the junk food!
